About MKE Learning
I founded MKE Learning as a way to help students in my community and all around the globe reach their full reading potential. With 10 years experience teaching the most foundational and essential reading skills, I've been blessed to help over 1,000 students become independent readers with or without diagnoses like ADD/ADHD or learning disabilities like dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ASD.
Using the Seeing Stars® and Visualizing and Verbalizing® programs from Lindamood-Bell®, I will teach reading from the ground up, focusing on skills like letter name and sound recognition, word attack skills, then building up to instant word recognition, passage reading, and vocabulary development to aid in overall reading fluency and comprehension.

Reading Fluency
I will teach the building blocks of reading to support and enhance reading fluency, comprehension and vocabulary.
Assessments
I offer a number of standardized tests to determine the best starting point in instruction. These are not necessary to sign up for lessons but will help provide information to how to best tailor lessons for each student.
Reading Comprehension
Has your child ever said they read and re-read but nothing sticks? Reading comprehension lessons are available for all grade levels as well as adult learners.
Progress Updates
Progress updates are scheduled bi-weekly to discuss current achievements and future goals.
